for those of you, who have taken knitting workshops with us in years past, may know ani, and also know that she moved to australia a few years ago. well, SHE'S BAAAAACK! for a few days that is, and teaching a knitting workshop with US!
at knitting 101, we’ll get straight into the good stuff: from choosing materials, to knitting lingo, and the practical stuff in between. you’ll learn how to start and finish projects, and the most basic knit stitch, the garter stitch. no prior experience necessary. materials list below with option to add on materials kit available as well, if you don't feel comfortable gathering materials yourself.
materials to bring (or additional materials kit can be purchased with ticket):
*ball or skein of yarn, more than 50 grams in weight
*size 4 mm knitting needles
ani has been knitting for 10+ years and teaching knitting classes for 3 years. she is completely obsessed with everything fiber-related, and tremendously enjoys sharing this love with others. she has taught knitting classes in san francisco and sydney, australia, and has recently begun recycling jumpers for their yarn to use in her knitting workshops. when she's not knitting, you can find her hiking, cycling, and listening to podcasts about knitting. you can see some of ani's work here: http://www.annasophielee.com/
