We’ll cover safety, sourcing ingredients, and recipes to make simple hand soap, laundry detergent or shampoo bars. Together we’ll make a few batches of soap so you get the hang of it, and you can take home your own fresh made bar scented and garnished as you like!

About the Instructor:
Eco SF's mission is to cooperatively create communities that are ecologically, socially, and culturally in balance. Their model is to facilitate projects that the community builds together, while also serving as hands-on educational workshops demonstrating sustainable living skills like ecological gardening, natural building, nature awareness, animal husbandry, solar cooking, gray-water use, rain catchment, soap making, cheese making, fermentation and more. It is their belief that people learn by experience and they want to provide the opportunities for people to experience the ecology of San Francisco and the interconnectedness of people, plants, animals, fungi, the physical environment and the many natural cycles and processes that support life on earth.
