Cyanotype was one of the original methods in which photographs were developed, using only light and water. In this workshop, you'll learn the cyanotype basics and create an awesome pillow using your new skills.

Alternative photography development is a playful way to take natural botanicals and your individual creativity to make a truly special photo that can be turned into a one-of-a-kind gifts.

In this introductory class, you will learn the basics of the cyanotype photo development process, artfully develop photos and patterns directly onto fabric, and sew basic hems onto your newly developed fabric, creating a one of a kind 10"x10" pillow.

You will learn:

  • Cyanotype printing and development using only light and water
  • Basic techniques for sewing hems on the sewing machine

Sewing machines are provided, but if you have one, feel free to bring your own.
